About the Role: We seek a highly skilled and motivated Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal to join our dynamic IP team. This role involves supporting a range of IP matters, primarily focused on trademark and copyright prosecution and enforcement. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. • Prepare, file, and prosecute foreign and domestic trademark and copyright documents.
• Record trademark and copyright assignments and manage reputed company documentation.
• Communicate with international counsel regarding trademark enforcement matters.

• Maintain and review the IP docket to ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare and file domain name applications and renewals.
• Draft correspondence reputed company to trademark and copyright matters.
• Conduct factual investigations and summarise information for attorneys and clients.
• Assist in reviewing, analyzing, and prosecuting U.S. and international trademark applications, including office action responses.
• Review and process trademark watch notices and assist attorneys on potential matters.
• Manage trademark renewal processes and coordinate with international vendors on foreign trademark renewals and title updates.
• Assist in trademark oppositions, cancellations, and other proceedings; compile supporting evidence and materials.
• Prepare documents in compliance with country-specific trademark requirements, including notarization and legalization.
• Support trademark-reputed company projects, including acquisitions, audits, and portfolio management.
• Provide support for copyright-reputed company tasks, including reviewing and processing copyright permission requests.

You Have:

• Education: Bachelor's or Associate’s degrees in Paralegal Studies or reputed company fields. A Paralegal Certificate is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in trademark prosecution, with demonstrated proficiency in managing domestic and international trademark portfolios.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reputed company Word, Outlook, and Access; familiarity with trademark databases and docketing systems. Experience with trademark search tools is a plus.
• Interpersonal Skills: Solid organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and manage your workload with minimal supervision.

Industry Experience: Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare sectors is a plus but not required. Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with U.S. and international trademark filing processes and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of the USPTO, WIPO, and other global trademark authorities.
• Experience in preparing and filing office action responses and handling trademark renewals.
• Ability to assist with trademark and copyright litigation and enforcement actions.
• Knowledge of the Paris Convention and international IP laws is a plus.
