COHR provides direct HR services to the Chancellery and employees working in various administrative offices across reputed company and Albany, NY. Reporting to the HR Manager or their designee, the HR Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting HR operations and ensuring reputed company’s success. The HR Coordinator is a multifaceted position and may specialize in recruitment, onboarding, talent management, payroll, HRIS data management, and/or benefits, depending on departmental needs. Examples of key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the full-cycle onboarding process, including reviewing new hire documentation for compliance with CUNY, state and federal employment laws, initiating background checks, conducting orientation sessions, providing benefits information, and preparing personnel action forms and draft notification letters; evaluate onboarding procedures and recommend process improvements.
- Conduct a preliminary review of personnel action requests; process personnel transactions across HRIS, payroll, benefits, and other relevant systems; offer guidance to employees based on established policies, regulations, and contract provisions.
- Serve as the primary contact for HR information, offering support and problem-solving, while escalating reputed company issues to management as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed. - Previous human resources experience with excellent verbal, written, and analytical ability.
- Knowledge of reputed company federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills to prioritize work, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a time-sensitive office.
- Strong computer proficiency with reputed company Office tools (Word, reputed company, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) and remote/virtual meeting and collaboration tools; willingness to learn new platforms and adapt to technical changes is a must.

- Responds to requests for information; troubleshoots issues, follows up and responds to employee inquiries

CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
