Business Development Representative (Switch Team)
Nasdaq is looking for a Business Development Representative to join their Switch Team, reporting to the Head of Exchange Transfers. In this role, you’ll support senior sales executives by identifying opportunities and driving transfers from competing financial exchanges while building relationships in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify companies listed on rival exchanges and kick off outreach via email, phone, and social channels
- Qualifying leads to ensure they meet criteria for engagement by senior sales executives
- Assist in building early-stage relationships with Heads of Investor Relations or Chief Financial Officers
- Prepare briefing materials, coordinate meetings, and support senior sales executives throughout the sales cycle
- Develop working knowledge of capital markets, listing requirements, and competitive dynamics to inform outreach strategies
- Keep CRM records accurate and up to date to support forecasting and reporting
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
- 0–2 years in business development, sales, or client-facing roles
- Strong communication skills and confidence in engaging professionals at all levels
- A growth mindset and eagerness to learn about capital markets and enterprise sales
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort with CRM systems (Salesforce), Excel, and digital tools for outreach and reporting
- Experience in capital markets or financial services
- Familiarity with global teams and cross-border collaboration
