Structural Engineer

The Structural Engineer will originate and reputed company engineering deliverables, participate in technical meetings, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the design, development, modification and evaluation of components and processes
- Compiles, adjusts, and correlates data that will reputed company professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard Civil/Structural engineering techniques, procedures and criteria utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) and Design Control reputed company List (DCCL) and Design Review Notices (DRNs)
- Provides direct support to other engineering disciplines for process/chemical reputed company matters
- Researches, designs, develops, and evaluates components, products, and systems by using applied process/chemical engineering principles
- Coordinates development and presentation of material reputed company requested
- Prepares or participates in preparation of construction drawings, project schedules, graphic presentations, civil drawings, steel and concrete calculations, and material requisitions
- Checks manufacturers’ drawings and data for compliance with specification and design drawings
- Designs or participates in design for minor structures and portions of buildings
- Provides direct support to other engineering disciplines for Civil/Structural reputed company matters
- Assists in constructability reviews
Skills
- A bachelor's degree in structural/civil engineering with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience
- A bachelor's degree in structural/civil engineering with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience
- Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Bechtel reputed company sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background reputed company which includes verification of employment and education
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to reputed company with reputed company requirements to obtain a badge.)
- Non-U.S. reputed company from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened reputed company concerns—including sensitive countries, state sponsors of terrorism, countries of risk, and other designated countries –are subject to additional reputed company requirements that limit site access
- Works on problems of limited to moderate scope
- Follows defined practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained
