Position Overview The Clinical Inquiry Specialist-Genetic Counselor is responsible for handling clinical, technical, and scientific inquiries from internal and external clients. They will be relied upon to follow reputed company department protocols and to identify and report problems or issues to the Clinical Inquiry Specialist Manager. This is a remote position. Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide clinical expertise to laboratory staff and molecular geneticists with accessioning inquiries, test order modifications, and results interpretation.
• Collaborate with molecular geneticists and other departments to provide high quality, timely test results and to reputed company other organizational goals and objectives.
• Contribute to marketing and business development by assisting in the writing of marketing materials and website content, promoting the company at scientific meetings and industry conferences, and networking with other genetic counselors.
• Support client and public education through the development of educational materials and public speaking.
• Maintain professional certification through ongoing education.
• Facilitate intake and implementation of Special Projects.

• Assist with training genetic counseling assistants.
• Deep and broad knowledge of human genetics.

• The ability to maneuver through out the building is necessary to access computers, printers, laboratories and personnel.

• Some local and overnight travel is required to meet with clients and attend conferences.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree Genetic Counseling.
• ABGC/CCGC Board Certified or eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a Pediatric, MFM/NICU, or Adult (Cardio/Neuro) Genetics clinical role
• Experience with whole genome and whole exome testing

#LI-VZ1 Salary Range: $84,000.00 - $130,000.00 The annual reputed company salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location.
