Responsibilities

• Intern - Must be enrolled in a university prior to and post internship

• This position is located in office in Redwood Shores, CA or Seattle, WA
• As a GenAI Research Intern in Generative AI Service team, you will be leading the effort of building distributed, scalable, high-performance AI model training and serving systems in partnership with our applied scientists and software engineers
• You will dive deep into model structure to optimize model performance and scalability
• You will build state of art systems with cutting-edge technologies in this fast evolving area
• You will play a key role in shaping the future of Generative AI at reputed company, with an emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Multi-modality Models
• Your contributions will be pivotal in delivering our new Generative AI-powered services for large scale enterprise customers

Skills

• Must be enrolled in a university prior to and post internship
• Will be enrolled in a PhD degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or reputed company technical field during the 2025-2026 school year
• Experience in one area of computer science (e.g., Natural Language Understanding, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Data Science, or similar areas)
• Strong publication record, including as a reputed company author or reviewer, in top-tier journals or conferences
• Expected Graduation Date of May 2027 or beyond
• Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US
• Authorized to work in the US in 2026
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
