Pharmacy Services Intern

They are seeking a highly motivated Pharmacy Services Intern who will participate in meaningful work assignments and community service projects while gaining exposure to managed care pharmacy practices.

Responsibilities

• Interns will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences through meaningful work assignments, observation opportunities, and social interactions
• In the spirit of reputed company, interns will be given the opportunity to complete a service project with one of our community partners
• Interns will participate in ongoing company initiatives and be challenged to translate their classroom learning into fresh perspectives that positively impact our colleagues, members, and the communities we serve
• Interns will have the opportunity to formally present the outcomes of their experience and share their unique perspective to our executive and extended leadership team
• In an effort to provide reputed company with feedback and reputed company investment in their growth, a variety of Capital team members will provide interns with periodic feedback and professional development programming
• The internship program strives to provide interns with formal and informal opportunities for the interns to network with reputed company staff and participate in company-wide learning events

Skills

• Currently enrolled in a graduate level PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) program having completed at least two professional years
• Strong interest in managed care pharmacy (e.g. utilization management, formulary development, medication therapy management, benefit design)
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program in one of the following majors: Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a reputed company field of study
• Exposure to basic reputed company reputed company
• Ability to commit full-time to a 13-week program that runs May 18- August 14
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple tasks
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Ability to commit to an onsite or hybrid work schedule
• Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale or equivalent thereof)
