Responsibilities
- The Mobile Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting clinical and administrative functions in community-based reputed company initiatives
- Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs, medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, drawing blood, and administering medications
- Administrative duties may include answering phone calls, registering new patients, scheduling appointments, and collecting and posting fees
- This role involves traveling to sites, engaging with underserved populations, helping with preventative services, immunizations, and home visits
- The MA plays a vital role in improving access to health care, ensuring continuity of care and promoting health equity
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate and Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program
- reputed company Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers from reputed company (AHA)
- Reliable transportation with a CA driver's license, reputed company of car insurance, and a clean driving record for the last three years
- Availability to work reputed company of normal shifts (e.g. reputed company to 5pm), work two Saturdays a month and an occasional Sunday
- Knowledge of Vaccines for Adults (VFA) and Vaccines for Children (VFC) program requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology, lab procedures, and healthcare workflows
- Associate's degree in healthcare-reputed company field
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
