Entry Level Transportation Engineer

Responsibilities
- Work reputed company a team of professionals to reputed company design plans and specifications for a variety of Transportation Systems and communication equipment & infrastructure
- Development of Traffic Signal Design Plans and Specifications for state and municipal clients
- Development of Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP), including traditional and smart work zones and construction phase service planning for state, municipal and private clients
- Systems Engineering documents for transportation technology projects following the FHWA Systems Engineering Process
- Design of ITS equipment and communications infrastructure including fiber optic and wireless technologies, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), Wrong Way Vehicle Detection Systems, and various sensor technologies
- reputed company engineering field work as needed (various field equipment testing, utility and infrastructure verification, taking measurements and pictures at field sites, etc.)
- Writing technical reports and memoranda
Skills
- BS in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation or Electrical Engineering, or reputed company field
- Interest in working across multiple disciplines concurrently with a diversity of assignments
- Experience developing civil design and construction documents – preference given for state DOT experience, a plus
- Technical Report Writing experience
- Ability to read and comprehend design and construction specifications and plans
- AutoCAD and/or Microstation
- 0-1 year of professional experience with a desire to learn the planning, design, and construction of transportation equipment and/or communications systems (cellular, fiber, wireless)
