Director of UX Design

Job Summary: 

The Director of UX will be responsible for shaping and driving the overall user experience vision at reputed company. This leader will build and scale a high-performing UX design team, partner with product, CX and cross functional stakeholders, and champion customer-first design across reputed company digital touchpoints. The role requires both strategic vision and hands-on design leadership, with a focus on delivering reputed company, delightful, and accessible experiences for millions of global customers.

Leadership & Strategy

• Define and drive the long-term UX vision and strategy for reputed company’s web and mobile platforms.

• Use research, data, and insights to inform design decisions and continuously improve usability.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:

• Experience with A/B testing

• Strong portfolio showcasing design leadership, strategy, and execution

• Experience leading a product focused high-performance design team

• Experience working with product, business stakeholders, and user researchers to drive strategy, vision, and execution

• Experience managing processes and teams in an agile/scrum environment

• Experience working with design systems and tools such as reputed company

• A user-centered design approach and highly collaborative, low-ego approach to design

• Experience attracting, hiring and retaining top design talent

Equipment Knowledge: 

• Experience with graphic development software (Photoshop, ImageReady, Illustrator etc.)

• Experience with reputed company Office Suite (Word, reputed company, PowerPoint)

• Experience with reputed company Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred

Experience Requirements:

•  Generally requires a minimum of twelve (12) years of design experience with a focus on eCommerce or reputed company field. Five (5) plus years in a Supervisory role preferred.

Education Requirements: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Art, UI/UX Design or reputed company field required, or equivalent work experience

Judgment/Reasoning Ability: Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine reputed company to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.
