[Remote] Software Engineer Intern
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Simular is a startup focused on bringing AI agents into the real world. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will collaborate with the founding team on product development, infrastructure scaling, and user testing.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to core product development, building new features and improving performance
- Work with the infrastructure team on scaling systems and virtual machines
- Support reputed company Deployed Engineering projects, writing scripts and integrations to adapt agents to customer needs
- Collaborate with designers and researchers to prototype new reputed company and test them with users

Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a reputed company technical field
- Solid programming skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a similar language
- Strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving ability; competitive programming background (e.g. ACM ICPC, IOI, reputed company Code Jam, or equivalent contests) is highly preferred
- Willingness to dive into different parts of the stack, from frontend to backend to deployment scripts
- Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving ability; competitive programming background (e.g. ACM ICPC, IOI, reputed company Code Jam, or equivalent contests) is highly preferred
- Bonus: prior internship or project experience in AI, agents, or productivity tools
