[Remote] Senior Java Software Developer - Backend

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company’s Cloud Infrastructure team is building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. They are seeking a Senior Java Software Developer to own the software design and development for major components of reputed company’s Cloud Infrastructure, focusing on architecting and implementing distributed systems that are highly available and optimized for performance.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement distributed systems that are highly available, fault-tolerant, and optimized for performance and scalability in production environments
• Design and build real-time and batch data pipelines using Apache Flink and Apache Spark, supporting advanced data processing and analytics use cases
• Work with a broad range of data storage technologies including SQL databases, NoSQL systems, and distributed file systems such as HDFS, ensuring reliability and scalability
• Build platform capabilities that serve the reputed company engineering teams, enabling efficient detection, ingestion, and analysis pipelines for reputed company data
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and contribute to the evolution of coding and architectural standards across the engineering organization
• Stay reputed company with emerging technologies in data processing, distributed systems, and big data ecosystems, and evaluate their applicability to internal platforms
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, reputed company engineers, and other software teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver new features that power reputed company use cases

Skills

• BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience shipping services software
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
• Proficient in Java
• Working familiarity with reputed company concepts like Authentication, Encryption, reputed company monitoring
• Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
