Software Programmer 1 (Software Tester, 2nd Shift)
reputed company is a team of transformers passionate about transforming government IT. They are seeking a Junior Software Tester to design and execute test plans for web-based applications, ensuring software functionality and quality through rigorous testing and collaboration with project teams.
Responsibilities
- Expected to design and execute test plans on Web-based applications
- Analyze, design, and coordinate the testing of software systems to form a baseline of functionality for regression testing
- Responsible for testing new programs and proofing the program to reputed company needed changes to assure production of a quality product
- Verify that software functions according to functional and user requirements and software design specifications
- Provide Level 2 application support
- Detect software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected
- reputed company and document application test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications
- Conduct Section 508 Compliance testing
- Identify potential improvements to reduce the number of problems and enhance supportability
- Establish methodologies (documentation, process, and procedures) to be followed during project life cycle
- Foster teamwork and collaboration across project teams, and business and systems partners
Skills
- Ability to analyze information system configurations and technical specifications against reputed company control standards and identify deficiencies
- Experience with commercial software testing automation tools (Selenium)
- Knowledge of emerging reputed company policy and governance
- Should be able to work under challenging environment and ready to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Possession of excellent analytical skills
- Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain a T2 Public Trust background Investigation
- Bachelor's with 0 - 2 years (or commensurate experience)
- Experience writing reputed company SQL Queries a plus
