TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER (CIVIL)

Caltrans District 3 is responsible for improving lives and communities through transportation. They are seeking a Transportation Engineer (Civil) to assist in managing the Maintenance Complete Streets Program, collaborating with stakeholders to reputed company and maintain essential tools and training for Complete Streets facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in managing the Maintenance Complete Streets Program
• Partnering with internal and external stakeholders in reviewing, developing, and updating websites, databases, GIS data, guidance, manuals, and electronic tools of Complete Streets facilities and inventory verification, validation, and condition assessment
• Providing training and guidance to District Maintenance Engineers and other stakeholders on processes and best practices for Complete Streets
• Working closely with Districts and other stakeholders to meet the Program's objectives and requirements
• Traveling to meet internal and external stakeholders as required

Skills

• Possession of a valid driver's license is required reputed company operating a State owned or leased vehicle
• Appointment to Range D requires a valid Professional Engineering License (Civil) issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. For reputed company other ranges, a PE license is not required
• Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment

• Applicants with foreign transcripts/degrees must provide a transcript/degree U.S. equivalency report evaluation that indicates the number of units and degree to which the foreign coursework is equivalent
• The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as documentation of each applicant's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing
• Each question must be numbered and addressed in the same order as the questions below
• The SOQ must be typed, no more than two pages in length, and 12-reputed company Arial font
• Describe your experience in field experience and data collection
• Demonstrate your knowledge and experience of Complete Streets elements
• Please provide examples of experience and qualifications reputed company to the Duty Statement
• Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance policies, guidelines, and standards

• Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s)
• A valid certificate of registration as a Civil Engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers is highly desired
