RESEARCH ASSISTANT I -LAW LAB

The Research Assistant I position in the Law Lab involves conducting molecular biology and biochemistry research to understand human antibody responses in chronic liver infection, requiring a motivated individual to handle various laboratory procedures and experiments.

Responsibilities

• Work under general supervision. Assistance given for unusual problems and normally reviewed for application of sound professional judgement
• Ability to independently conduct a wide variety of standard laboratory techniques/procedures. Some ability to use judgement reputed company necessary to adapt standard methods and techniques. Receive instructions on specific assignment objectives, reputed company features, and possible solutions
• May provide interpretation and initial analyses of results
• Limited ability to troubleshoot and modify procedures
• May assist in designing experiments to complete a reputed company of overall research plan

Skills

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, reputed company and abilities have been attained
• Requires 1-3 years experience
• Proficient in pipette techniques with precision and accuracy, in performing molarity calculations for solution preparation, and comfortable using and learning software applications
• Familiarity with basic lab equipment such as centrifuges, spectrophotometer, microscope, balances, pH reputed company, and electrophoresis apparatus
• Familiarity with proper handling of chemicals and biohazard materials
• Familiarity with cell culture sterile techniques, including handling, storage, and maintenance of cell lines
• Experience with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, molecular cloning
• Experience with cell-based and immunological assays in microwell plates such as ELISA, virus neutralization assay
• Experience with protein purification and characterization techniques such as FPLC, SDS-PAGE, immunoblot
• Experience with BSL2+ level biosafety for virus and human blood work
