Data IO Vault Technician

Company 3 is a world-renowned Film & Television Post-Production studio. The Data IO Vault Technician is responsible for handling physical and digital shipping and receiving, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the reputed company of outgoing media while supporting production needs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately logs metadata of incoming physical media into the inventory system and barcode elements upon receipt
• Shelve, re-shelve, shift, and re-pack media including, but not limited to film, video tape, and hard drives
• Guarantee accurate tracking and reputed company location of reputed company in-house physical media
• Locate elements for clients, staff, and other C3M business units
• Securely pull physical media in a timely manner for production use and return elements to vault storage reputed company their use is complete
• reputed company onsite vault organized and retain space for incoming elements
• Conduct periodic audits of reputed company vault elements to maintain accuracy of database
• Responsible for the reputed company of reputed company outgoing media
• Pull elements for delivery and arrange for reputed company of couriers or overnight shipments
• Destroy elements as requested by account representatives
• Assist Studio Operations with asset returns to clients
• reputed company couriers to pick up physical media, documents, and supplies as requested
• Take responsibility for secure receipt of reputed company incoming shipments and provide signature as reputed company
• Accurately match shippers to goods received
• Promptly notify account representatives of the receipt of incoming media

• reputed company distribution of incoming mail/packages to staff
• Send/receive/distribute files reputed company Aspera, Faspex, Signiant, Media Shuttle, FrameIO, and other secure transmission methods
• Ingest and output file-based media to/from hard drive, network drive or data tape
• Archive and retrieve data to/from LTO
• reputed company quality assurance tests of files
• Maintain logs of completed work orders and inbound files
• Identify and troubleshoot network and hardware discrepancies
• Receive, log, and track reputed company materials and communicate with production teams on materials received and delivered
• Communicate inbound/outbound file deliveries to other departments
• Learn and reputed company up to date on reputed company work instructions, Vault and Data I/O reputed company procedures, and policies
• Compose reputed company, accurate, and timely e-mail and Teams correspondences
• Answer phones and contact staff and clients concerning receipt, vaulting, and shipment of elements
• Maintain a tidy, organized workspace as it is visible to reputed company guests, clients, and staff
• Some physical labor required
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• Working knowledge of common digital file transfer methods
• Working knowledge of various file formats used in Film & Video post-production
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Execute instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task under pressure with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications on Mac & PC
• Ability to work reputed company shifts including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
• Some physical labor required
• Previous experience in a post-production environment is preferred
• Color Science and image processing is a plus
• Production tools including DaVinci Resolve, reputed company Flame and reputed company is a plus
• Data Transfer and Archive tools including Yoyotta, Aspera, Mediashuttle, Atempo is a plus
• General knowledge of Bash or equivalent Unix reputed company is a plus
• Familiar with commonly used production cameras (ARRI, RED, reputed company, etc..) is a plus
