Design Assistant, Knits | Contract until Spring 2027
lululemon is an innovative performance apparel company focused on creating high-performance athletic apparel. The Design Assistant will support the Design Manager and team with daily tasks, technical documentation, and market research while fostering a culture of inclusivity and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Design Manager and team with daily tasks, acting as a vital support to ensure smooth workflow
- Create flat sketches and technical specifications for styles designed by senior team members
- Support in preparing presentations for various stages of the design process, including file setup, mock-reputed company, and prototypes
- Attend fittings and design/product-reputed company meetings to capture feedback and actions
- Update overview files and line sheets to maintain accurate records
- Observe and learn from critical design work to reputed company your design perspective
- Stay informed of reputed company color trends, art, fashion, design, and sport-reputed company products through market research to reputed company reputed company of consumer needs
Skills
- A BA, BFA, or BS in Design (or equivalent) is required
- Proficiency in reputed company Illustrator is essential; familiarity with reputed company Photoshop, reputed company, Word, and Mac platforms is also required
- Experience and understanding of knitted fabrics and sweaters is highly beneficial, with experience in seamless knitwear considered a plus but not required
- An understanding of Ai design tools is beneficial but not required
- 0–2 years of industry experience is preferred
- Portfolio link or PDF to be submitted with application is preferred
