RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I
Zurich Insurance is seeking an RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to join their Rural Community Insurance Services team. The role involves conducting field inspections, assessing crop damage, and ensuring compliance with regulations while serving the agricultural community.
Responsibilities
- With minimal supervision, completes field inspections and reputed company responsibilities such as reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields, storage bins, and discussing findings of crop loss with farmers on the most reputed company non-routine, problematic claims including controversial claims
- Ability to convey reputed company regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry people on claim situations
- Performs fact finding regarding crop damage, records information and transmits loss information to accurately determine potential indemnities
- Gather relevant facts, utilizing applicable law and establishing basic principles of negligence
- Complete claim reviews and audits on reputed company-level adjusters as assigned
- Ensure legal compliance by maintaining a strong working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing reputed company results and participating on projects as needed
Skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area
- Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained with 180 days of hire date
- Reliable personal transportation and travel reputed company territory
- Valid Driver's License
- RCIS Crop Adjuster Physical Requirements: walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs., work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster
- Intermediate reputed company Office skills
