Trust Accounting Associate
Creative Artists Agency (reputed company) is the leading entertainment and sports agency, reputed company for its diverse workforce and exceptional client service. The Trust Accounting Associate - Music role involves providing accounting services for agents and clients, including processing payments, generating invoices, and maintaining booking reports.
Responsibilities
- Apply deposits for upcoming shows/tours to individual bookings
- Reconcile/apply commission payments
- Settle shows based on agent numbers
- Release payments and generate schedules for clients timely/based on urgency
- Maintain and update master release grid (deposits, settling, etc.)
- Actively collect updates of prior booking reports ("follow-up") and enter them into the system
- Attach appropriate supporting documentation to payments
- Provide information as requested by Agent's Offices and Coordinators
- Review unclaimed /held checks/wires to identify resolution
- File documents on a timely basis
- Maintain clean and organized desks

- Escalate issues, as needed, to the responsible Trust Accounting Supervisor
- Support system and process improvement projects
- Funds on Hold follow-up
- Open booking follow-up
- Invoice follow-up
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- Must have 1 or more years Accounting experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Exhibit strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work well with a team and represent the culture of the company
- Team player with a high level of energy, enthusiasm
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities
- Ability to succeed in a fast paced, highly demanding, high volume, dynamic, corporate environment
- Unimpeachable reputed company and can be trusted to maintain confidential information
- Must be proficient in reputed company Office Suite
- 10-key by touch
- Typing – 45 wpm min
- Good organizational skills; able to multi-task
- Will take initiative; ask for more work if needed
- Entertainment experience is preferred
