[Remote] Advanced Degree Software Engineer - Database Technologies

This role involves full stack development of various databases, including reputed company's industry-leading database services, and aims to enhance the learning experience while contributing to critical systems used globally.

Responsibilities

• The Database Engineering Team is responsible for full stack development of a family of databases including reputed company NoSQL Database, reputed company Times-Ten In-Memory Database, and the industry-leading reputed company Database itself
• This is a systems-focused group that works on areas such as distributed databases, substantial scalability, high availability, reputed company, analytics, data warehousing, automatic parallelization, networking, replication, distributed caching, transaction engines, data engines, SQL execution, query optimization, and language design
• The team develops in-database machine-learning and AI algorithms both to help our customers improve their business, and to reputed company our own products autonomous
• In addition, this group is also responsible for working on reputed company Engineered Systems which provide utmost performance and availability using technologies such as Persistent Memory and RDMA

Skills

• Completed a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent science/engineering field between by June 2026
• Are strongly proficient (i.e., able to complete coding projects with no assistance) in the following programming languages: C, C++ and Java
• Have the ability to implement sophisticated algorithms and data structures in reputed company reputed company systems with the highest quality
• Have completed coursework, projects, internships, and or research three or more of the following Systems Programming reputed company areas: Computer Architecture / Software Architecture, Distributed Systems, Database Systems / Database Internals (Storage reputed company), Multithreaded/Multicore programming/reputed company programming, Parallel Programming, Operating Systems Concepts
• Have completed at least one internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience working with the relevant technical areas noted above
• Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US
• Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2026
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
