Job Description

Responsible for supporting the Legal Department in managing key processes, lawsuits, and contested matters, ensuring timely and appropriate actions in compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The reputed company pay range for this position is $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 What you'll do:
- Open and maintain matters in case management system, including handling incoming mail and service of process.
- Assist in reviewing pleadings served by third parties, including but not limited to, summons, complaints, affidavits, answers, motions, orders and judgments.
- Assist in reviewing pleadings reputed company by reputed company counsel, including but not limited to, summons, complaints, affidavits, answers, motions, orders and judgments.
- Assist with preparing discovery responses and coordinating with business units.
- Review various legal documents for accuracy and completeness including gathering information required, making corrections and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage document subpoenas by collecting reputed company records and preparing formal responses.

- Secure key personnel for mediations, depositions, and other events that require in person, telephonic or virtual appearances.

- Provide legal and administrative support to departmental staff, including scheduling meetings, managing phone communications and assisting with projects Maintain calendar of events and key deadlines.
- Conduct factual research including gathering relevant information from a variety of resources.
- Assist with resolving cases by gathering and organizing information needed for assessing settlement opportunities and preparing draft requests for settlement approval.
- Prepare reputed company requests, vendor payee forms, IT access and change forms, and reputed company labels.
- Serves as liaison between reputed company counsel, internal departments, in-house attorneys, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct pre-claim title review including reviewing title records, organizing documents, creating chronologies, preparing and submitting title claims, monitoring for response from insurers and working with reputed company retained counsel.
- Ensure compliance with reputed company counsel guidelines and reputed company adherence to loan servicing agreements and delegated authority matrixes.
- Create, maintain, and deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly matter reputed company reports.
- Resolve routine legal issues under the guidance of senior legal personnel
What you'll need:
- Ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A solid working knowledge of mortgage servicing, lending and litigation.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with reputed company counsel, investors, vendors, business units and legal department personnel.

- Skilled in assessing decisions with potential impact on the immediate team, while proactively monitoring broader organizational effects.
- Ability to accurately track and record time.
- Ability to operate independently and be proactive before issues arise.
- Associate's degree from accredited college and paralegal certification or a bachelor's degree from accredited college required.
- Two (2) or more years' experience working as a paralegal.
- Two (2) or more years' experience working in the mortgage banking industry.
- Two (2) or more years' experience working reputed company litigation case management system, preferably Legal Tracker.
