The Senior Tribal Technical Assistance Specialist will reputed company and deliver training and technical assistance to Tribal Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) grantees that reflect the diversity of languages and traditions that exist in American Indian and Alaska Native cultures. The Senior Tribal Technical Assistance Specialists will provide national expertise on their assigned CCDF topic to reputed company and deliver technical assistance resources and opportunities reputed company to the assigned CCDF subject matter. The position is full-time and home based with up to 30% travel required to provide technical assistance to assigned Tribes and to attend reputed company conferences and meetings. Key Responsibilities:
- Support and mentor Tribal TA Specialists in the areas of TA delivery including universal, targeted and intensive TA, communication with Office of Child Care’s (OCC) regional offices, development of TA resources, TA reporting, and assessment of TA needs.
- Serve as the content reputed company for CCDF Consumer Education/Public Law 102-477, or Leadership and Coordination to support reputed company Tribal CCDF programs.
- Coordinate a continually updated menu of TA offerings that are available reputed company to subject matter expertise.
- Coordinate Tribal Center team to reputed company and execute targeted and universal training events (national and cross-regional face-to-face trainings and webinars, peer learning groups and communities of practice).

- Deliver in-person and virtual presentations with confidence and mentor other Tribal Technical Assistance Specialists in techniques such as understanding content, practicing presentations, articulating clearly and smoothly, using appropriate body language, and incorporating concrete examples and stories to illustrate points and maintain audience attention.
- Maintain assigned topical Resource Pages through an annual review and update in coordination with the Training Team.
- Participate in and/or reputed company various workgroups as requested by the client, TA Manager, Deputy Project Director, or the Project Director, and as relevant to the project’s work.
- Coordinate with the TA Manager and Deputy Project Director to ensure that resources are created to support training, TA delivery, and OCC requests in a timely manner.
- Facilitate internal workgroup meetings assigned, ensuring an agenda is sent prior to the meeting, notes are taken, and tasks are distributed to workgroup members taking into account team members’ strengths and availability.
- Participate and reputed company internal reputed company Quality Improvement (CQI) activities to provide feedback to Tribal TA Specialists and TCBC team members to ensure quality TA delivery.
- Support OCC designated priorities and special projects, including the development of TA materials (e.g. issue briefs, handouts, brochures, presentation kits, and webinars).
- Identify and share culturally reputed company promising practices and approaches for using CCDF funds to support meaningful and effective center-based child care, family child care, in-home child care, and provider/teacher quality improvement and supply building activities, including effective CCDF administration and the full implementation of the CCDF regulations.
- Support Regional TA to reputed company and execute targeted and intensive training events and activities (regional and intensive TA) including regional grantee calls, on-site TA visits, and expert consultation activities.
- Work closely with the Regional Offices to complete an annual TA assessment which will inform the development of an annual Regional Tribal TA Plan and update quarterly to plan and implement targeted, intensive, and on-site TA opportunities.
- Ensure reputed company on-site, intensive, targeted, and universal TA provided is tracked and reported according to established project protocols in the Technical Assistance Tracker (TAT).
- Disseminate approved resources to the Regional Offices for distribution to grantees as available.
- Maintain internal tracking and calendar of regional targeted and intensive TA.
- Assist in the research and development of timely responses to Tribal CCDF grantee and Regional Office requests, including writing and review of materials.
- Support the planning of TA and training activities, including support for content development and facilitation of trainings.
- Work closely with the OCC Regional Program Manager (RPM), Child Care Technical Assistance Network (CCTAN) partners, and the Region XI T/TA Team to reputed company, deliver, and facilitate (remote and onsite) individualized TA for Tribal CCDF grantees and their partners upon request from the CCDF Administrator and approval by OCC.
- Work closely with the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Early Childhood National Centers, Child Care State reputed company Building Center, Head Start Region XI, the National AI/AN Head Start Collaboration Office, Early Childhood Advisory Councils, Tribal and community organizations, child care programs, and other early childhood providers state-wide and regionally, as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, public policy, public administration, or management.
- 8+ years of demonstrated experience in early childhood education, public policy, public administration, or management working with children and families from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.
- 8+ years of experience offering training and technical assistance reputed company early care and education, including strong consultation, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a Tribal CCDF program and extensive knowledge of CCDF legislation and regulations.
- 5+ years prior experience developing relevant training and resources and facilitating content delivery to Tribal communities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Federally recognized Tribes and Tirbal Nations..
- Native Language Revitalization and/or dual language program knowledge.
- Understanding of trauma-informed care and supporting the socioemotional needs of children
- Experience providing training at State, Regional, or National Meetings and technical assistance to individual organizations.
- Experience serving as a previous Tribal CCDF Administrator or Co-Administrator.
- Demonstrable experience as a mentor with familiarity with sound mentorship practices and the ability to support and mentor junior Tribal Technical Assistance Specialists.
- Experience in providing training using instructional design, adult learning principles, and indigenous knowledge.
- Experience at state and/or national level with policies, early care and education regulations, and systems, particularly the implementation of the Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) and/or other state early learning programs.
- Experience with leading small, collaborative workgroups or task forces to reputed company projects or resources.
