Summary- As a Designer you will be leading the development of your discipline's construction documents. Your team will consist of a Drafter. They will depend on your direction based on their reputed company understanding of discipline. Designers handle the creations and development of construction documents. Essential functions - During design you will take ownership of developing the construction documents. You are expected to understand how to compose your design package. This would mean directing your Drafter to assist in composing necessary views based on your scope. Determine the composition of your discipline package. During this phase of a project, we will receive Request for Information (RFI) and Submittals (verification of items being purchased per spec). These are mainly the responsibilities of your Project Engineer based on the impact these items will have on construction.
