Our expertise spans traditional internal combustion engines as well as cutting-edge hybrid and battery systems. Serving global OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, we deliver high-performance products for on-highway, industrial, and off-highway applications, with a strong desire to grow in battery thermal management. https://bspl.pl/ As we expand our global footprint, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced sales professional to lead new business development efforts and growth in North America. Position summary The Business Development Manager – North America will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing new business opportunities in the North American region. This individual will act as the primary commercial interface between the company and prospective customers, focusing on OEMs, Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers in the target industries.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in North America within the on-highway, industrial, and off-highway sectors.
  • Promote the company’s heat exchanger and thermal management solutions for battery thermal management, hybrid technology, internal combustion engines and any other core competency of the business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and engineering teams at target companies; supporting trade shows and other business development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams in Poland to tailor solutions to North American customer needs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and initial engagement to negotiation, contract close, and successful launch.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Provide regular market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to support strategic planning.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Act as a Project Launch Manager as the business grows to the need of on-boarding additional staff.

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical sales or business development experience in thermal systems, automotive components, or industrial equipment.
  • Proven track record of generating new business with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Technical understanding of heat exchangers, cooling systems, or related thermal management technologies.
  • Knowledge of both traditional ICE and electrified powertrain systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and results-driven.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout North America and occasionally to company HQ in Poland, or other global opportunities to grow our business.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.

Preferred qualifications

  • Existing network of contacts in the automotive, off-highway, or industrial machinery sectors.
  • Experience working with European suppliers or manufacturers.
  • Multilingual skills (e.g., Polish, German, or Spanish) are a plus but not required.
