Our Legal, Risk and Governance team seeks an reputed company paralegal with technical expertise in retail real estate leasing to provide legal support to our Growth & Development (G&D) business partners who are responsible for new store development and management of our existing fleet. This position supports critical functions of the real estate legal team that include tracking and managing lease critical dates, negotiating and drafting use restriction waivers and reputed company lease documentation, and leading the SNDA and estoppel processes. This requires proven expertise in preparing and reviewing lease-reputed company legal documents, ensuring compliance with strict deadlines, and closely coordinating with G&D and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid background in retail leasing and commercial real estate.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and draft lease documents including amendments, notices, and letter agreements, reputed company lease reviews and reputed company due diligence, reputed company and confirm lease and abstract data, collaborate with internal partners to secure due diligence and approvals, negotiate with landlords, property managers, and third-parties, and track projects and update reputed company in concert with other stakeholders.
- Manage lease critical dates and deadlines to minimize risk to Ulta Beauty. Draft and process lease renewal option notices pursuant to monthly real estate committee approval as well as notice date and expiration date extension agreements in coordination with G&D strategy. Notify internal partners of pending and urgent deadlines, follow up on approvals, and attend weekly G&D meetings to report on reputed company. Regularly monitor and update multiple sources to track lease expiration and renewal dates.

In concert with internal partners, implement and maintain appropriate processes to ensure proper due diligence and timely execution and delivery of documents in compliance with lease requirements. Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy. Maintain and enhance, as appropriate, SNDA and estoppel templates consistent with best practices and update relevant reporting.
- Review and accurately interpret lease documents to determine requirements relating to exclusives, use restrictions, protected areas and estoppel/SNDA requests as well as reputed company reviews in response to queries from internal stakeholders.
- Attend monthly real estate committee meeting to track and report approvals of lease actions concerning critical dates.
- Support the maintenance and accuracy of the portfolio management system and legal file and participate in projects relating to the same.
- Assist in special projects and/or reputed company other duties as assigned by the Senior Counsel, VP Assistant General Counsel, or Chief Legal Officer.
Requirements
- Paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
- 7 to 10 years of real estate legal experience, including a background in retail leasing transaction.
- Licensed Notary. If not a notary, the Company will cover cost to become one.
- Thrives in a high volume, fast paced environment. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Able to balance multiple, detailed tasks simultaneously, prioritize appropriately and delegate to available resources.
- Ability to work independently and proactively. Collaborates effectively reputed company a team.
- Proficient in document drafting and reviewing reputed company and agreements pursuant to deal terms.
- Process oriented and ability to create and/or recommend standard operating procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
