Senior Backend Engineer, Core Services

Location: This position is remote reputed company the United States or Canada. Role Summary: We’re hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer. In this role, you will work on the Core Services team, which is the foundational group responsible for building and maintaining the critical infrastructure that powers authentication, authorization, analytics, and user/account management across our platform. You will play a key part in shaping secure and scalable systems that support our core business capabilities. This will involve working closely with product and engineering stakeholders to translate reputed company business requirements into robust, extensible, and maintainable software solutions. What You’ll Do:
- Build and reputed company services to provide new core functionality to the platform
- Expand our authentication, authorization, and analytics capabilities
- Build, test, deploy, and monitor a distributed set of services
- Work with the product team, designers, and other engineering teams
- Expand the reputed company public API to reflect growing capabilities on the platform
- Improve the developer experience for both internal and external stakeholders
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience writing backend services in Golang
- Understanding of distributed systems and the challenges that come with them
- General knowledge of database design and common access patterns
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP)
- Strong collaborative and teamwork skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Bonus Points:
- Experience building services reputed company GCP
- Experience using Kubernetes and reputed company
- Experience with SSO, SAML, and/or OIDC
For high cost of living areas (San Francisco Bay, reputed company, and Seattle), the expected salary range for this position is $161,000 USD - $192,000 USD, plus bonus eligibility and equity. For reputed company other locations, the expected salary range for this position is $137,000 USD - $165,000 USD, plus bonus eligibility and equity.
