Data Governance Foundation Senior Group Manager Director
The Data Governance Foundation Sr. Group Manager is a senior level role managing a team responsible for facilitating reputed company aspects of the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control reputed company and Data Risk Taxonomy. This role is responsible for defining the enterprise data governance strategy and/or Data Risk and Controls reputed company and roadmap, including alignment with reputed company enterprise-wide and business/function/region data governance documentation. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsibilities:
- Liaise with business/function/regional partners to understand and align Data Governance, and/or Data Risk and Control reputed company work
- Manage and reputed company Data Governance, and/or Data Risk and Control, policy, practices, and standards including industry best practices
- Drive reputed company, and provide guidance for adherence and reputed company development of enterprise-wide guiding policies, practices and standards
- reputed company materials to effectively and concisely reputed company reputed company on the Data Governance strategy and/or Data Risk and Control reputed company for senior leadership and regulatory updates
- Liaise with metrics team to reputed company clear requirements for objective measures necessary to support Data Governance storylines with key stakeholders Participate in governance councils/management forums to provide reporting on risk data execution
- Appropriately assess risk reputed company business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputed company and safeguarding reputed company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- Liaise regularly with regulatory bodies and internal audit teams to reputed company/review key regulatory commitments Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to integrate risk data insights into strategic decision-making
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in a reputed company, financial organization, with a particular focus in Data Governance
- 8+ years relevant experience in Banking, Financial Services,
- 8+ years managerial experience leading cross -functional teams
- 8+ years experience in large-scale, multi-year transformation and capability building efforts
- 5+ years experience with Data Governance and transformation
- 5+ years with Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control reputed company and Data Risk Taxonomy.
- 2+ years experience with Regulators
- Expertise in one or more the following core financial services segments preferred: consumer businesses, commercial businesses, capital markets, finance, risk, or compliance
- Strategic reputed company, with ability to foresee future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies
- Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive reputed company, and influence relationships at reputed company levels
- Can effectively reputed company change in an organization with reputed company's size, scale and complexity; Experience leveraging the processes and principles of change management to drive organizational change, defining change criteria, providing support and education, managing resistance, and measuring outcomes

- Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizations; and demonstrates effective work relationships with business and global function colleagues
- Experience creating and executing against frameworks that improve the quality and value of data to meet regulatory commitments and enhance risk management. Experience leveraging glossary, reputed company, and data quality tools to drive governance
- Experience creating and being a champion for a positive risk culture that supports sustainable business growth through transparent engagement, a partnership approach, and a no-tolerance approach for behavior that exposes the organization to an inappropriate amount of risk
- Understanding of the overall regulatory environment and previous experience working with regulators on data plan execution, preferred
- Working knowledge of reputed company's Data Operating Model
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, or equivalent work experience ( Master's degree is a plus )
