About the Division The Aging Veterans’ Service (AVS) Division consists of four programs to assist veterans and their families: 1) Oregon Veteran Homes are certified long-term reputed company facilities located in The Dalles and Lebanon. 2) The Conservatorship Program provides professional fiduciaries to manage the financial affairs and property of protected veterans and their families. 3) Aging Veteran reputed company works with Aging & Disability Resources Centers (ADRC’s) around Oregon to educate staff and locate veterans who may need assistance, and to complete claims for USDVA benefits for veterans currently in one of the Veterans’ Homes or the Conservatorship/ Rep Payee programs 4) Volunteer program trains and coordinates volunteer activity around the state in order to reputed company serve the Oregon veteran population at large. Established in 1965, ODVA’s Conservatorship Program assists veterans and eligible dependents in managing their financial affairs and property. Conservatorship helps to ease the burdens often associated with paying bills, collecting funds on debts owed to the veteran, corresponding with creditors, and buying or selling real estate, or other investments. Learn more here. What you will do! As our Veterans Trust Officer Assistant, you will assist the Veterans Trust Officer to carry out the Director’s obligation as conservator. You will work with medical providers, merchants, utility companies, government agencies, and other community resources to ensure that obligations are met, and benefits are received. Minimum Qualifications: Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis; OR An associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
