As a remote Hospital Services Technician, you become an essential link in this chain, ensuring that waste is handled, transported, and documented with the utmost professionalism. Position Overview – What You’ll Do Every Day In this entry‑level, remote role, you will travel to a curated roster of healthcare facilities throughout Southwest Florida, executing scheduled waste‑collection and exchange services. Your work directly supports programs such as Sharps Management, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substance disposal, and Document Management. While the core responsibilities revolve around physical collection, the role also demands strong communication, meticulous documentation, and adherence to strict regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive Waste Management: Travel between designated hospitals and clinics to monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers according to a fixed schedule, ensuring no backlog or safety hazard.
  • Customer Interaction: Build professional, courteous relationships with on‑site staff, answering questions, addressing concerns, and confirming that service expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Schedule Adherence: Maintain a rigid collection timetable, reporting any deviations or incidents promptly to the Operations Coordinator.
  • Documentation & KPI Tracking: Use handheld devices and Stericycle’s software platforms to record collection data, update inventory logs, and monitor key performance indicators such as on‑time completion and container reputed company.
  • Physical Handling: Safely lift (up to 55 lb) and maneuver waste containers, and push/pull carts weighing as much as 500 lb, following ergonomic best practices and OSHA guidelines.
