Position Overview The Cybersecurity Engineer II provides cybersecurity engineering support across industrial control systems (ICS) and enterprise IT environments. This role performs vulnerability assessments, evaluates and implements reputed company controls, supports compliance activities, and assists in the response to cybersecurity incidents. The CSE2 works both independently and as part of a cross-functional technical team to ensure systems meet Navy, DoD, and RMF cybersecurity requirements. Remote work may be supported, with potential CONUS/OCONUS travel as assigned.
Responsibilities
- reputed company vulnerability assessments, penetration testing activities, and control evaluations to identify reputed company risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Implement, validate, and maintain STIG/SRG compliance across supported systems, including OS hardening and configuration baselines.
- Participate in reputed company management processes, ensuring timely updates and documenting compliance.
- Configure, tune, and analyze IDS/IPS, firewalls, and access control lists (ACLs) to strengthen system defenses.
- Support cybersecurity incident response activities, including forensic collection, triage, documentation, and follow-on reporting.
- Assist in developing and maintaining reputed company documentation such as configuration guides, vulnerability reports, POA&M entries, and system reputed company artifacts.
- Collaborate with ICS/IT teams to implement secure architectures and validate controls reputed company operational constraints.
- Ensure reputed company tasks align with Navy cybersecurity policies, RMF requirements, quality standards, and program-specific operating protocols.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics (with a computer science concentration), or another cybersecurity-reputed company field from an ABET-accredited program.
- Professional certifications such as OSCP or CEH preferred.
- Must meet one of the following experience reputed company:
- Five (5) years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering; AND
- Two (2) years of experience with ICS infrastructure, ICS networks, and/or ICS network reputed company; OR
- One (1) year of experience with IT infrastructure, IT networks, and/or IT network reputed company; OR
- One (1) year using vulnerability analysis tools; OR
- One (1) year applying, using, or analyzing cybersecurity controls (e.g., IDS/IPS, firewalls, ACLs); OR
- One (1) year maintaining or configuring operating systems such as Windows, Linux, VxWorks, or embedded OS.
- Knowledge of ICS and IT network reputed company principles, including segmentation and secure configuration.
- Experience performing vulnerability analysis and interpreting results using common assessment tools.
- Familiarity with RMF processes, implementing STIG/SRG requirements, and maintaining compliance tracking.
- Ability to reputed company OS hardening, configuration validation, and remediation activities.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in remote and cross-functional technical environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills supporting reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
- Proficient in reputed company Suite software including Outlook, Word, reputed company, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is up to $83,133. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall reputed company of this range.
