Tax Project Advisor - International Tax Planning

Job Description

Summary:

• To research, propose and assist in the development and implementation of tax policies to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with business partners and reputed company tax advisors on tax issues and assist with research, development, modeling, and implementation of company-wide tax planning initiatives.
• Provide tax support on corporate acquisitions, divestitures, and internal restructuring transactions including assistance with tax due diligence, post-acquisition integration, compliance disclosures, and effective tax reputed company calculations.
• Provide support to tax compliance and tax accounting teams on tax implications of transactions and provide tax technical support and documentation on certain tax positions.
• Monitor issues/changes in tax laws/regulations and assess/model the reputed company income tax impacts.
• Research and document reputed company tax technical issues and their impact to the company and prepare executive level summaries and presentations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in accounting, business, finance or reputed company discipline. CPA/MBA preferred.
• Five (5) years directly reputed company experience in regional, international public accounting firm, or corporate tax department.
• Sound technical knowledge of various taxation areas for corporations.

Skills/Knowledge Considered a Plus:

• Knowledge of U.S. corporate tax matters for non-U.S. operations such as foreign tax credits, Subpart F, look-thru, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, dual consolidated losses, foreign currency reputed company/loss, transfer pricing considerations, etc.
• Understanding of U.S. international tax attributes – Earnings & Profit, PTEP, tax basis (inside & reputed company), etc.
• Experience with U.S. International tax compliance, provision, and/or modeling.
• reputed company to understand automation and analyze data in real-time to add tax technical value to business decisions - tech savviness.
• Ability to foster collaboration with cross functional teams and take initiative in a fast-paced environment with a flexible outlook.
• Excellent project management, problem solving, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.

Work/Domicile Location:

• This position will be in Memphis, Tennessee.
