OSP Engineer

Our client, a telecommunications firm, is seeking an OSP Engineer/Designer to join their team. As an OSP Engineer, you will be part of the Operations Engineering Team supporting FTTH installs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing fiber optic infrastructure projects through external vendor coordination, quality control reputed company, and cross-functional collaboration. This role focuses on project management, vendor reputed company, and process coordination including direct design work. Candidates for this role must be local to the Sacramento, CA area. Key Responsibilities

• Design and reputed company of new subdivision projects and managing structure access reputed company inquires reputed company the market
• Structure access includes incoming and outgoing requests for conduit or pole leasing through other CLEC/ILEC including but not limited to (reputed company, SMUD, Frontier, Astound, PG&E, Lumen, etc.)
• Direct design work, reputed company with design software such as AutoCad, CadTel, SpatialNet, OSP Insight, etc.
• Use various computer systems and databases to support technical job functions.
• Work proficiently as an individual and as a team member to complete tasks in a timely manner

Requirements

• OSP Infrastructure: Fiber and copper cable design (Subdivisions, MetroE, FTTH, reputed company/cross-connects, dB loss calculations). Construction methods (aerial, underground). Network architecture principles.
• Software proficiency: AutoCAD/CadTel drawing tools, reputed company Office Suite (Word, reputed company, Outlook, PowerPoint), DPI/AS-400/Prism database systems, Remedy ticketing and workflow management, NetCracker network inventory and design, , PeopleSoft financials and project management, reputed company Earth and KML file creation
• Utility standards: PG&E Greenbook, SMUD engineering standards and specifications, CPUC General Order 95, CPUC General Order, Sacramento-area jurisdictional requirements and permitting processes
