Position Description The School of Nursing at Georgia State University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position to serve as the Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program, beginning August 2026. The Director provides academic and clinical leadership for both the post-baccalaureate and post-master's DNP programs. Key Responsibilities:

Required Experience Clinical Assistant Professor Applicants should have a minimum of one to three years of clinical practice experience as a nurse practitioner. Prior experience teaching at the graduate level is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to support student learning in clinical and academic settings, including mentorship, clinical supervision, and course coordination. Clinical Associate Professor Applicants should have a minimum of three years of clinical practice experience as a nurse practitioner, with documented success in graduate-level teaching. Candidates are expected to demonstrate academic and clinical leadership, including student advisement and mentorship, program administration, and reputed company of accreditation and regulatory compliance in advanced practice nursing programs. Required Education Clinical Assistant Professor Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in nursing (DNP preferred) and possess a reputed company Georgia RN license or be eligible for licensure. Candidates must also hold or be eligible for APRN licensure in Georgia and have national certification as a nurse practitioner. Prior experience teaching at the graduate level is preferred but not required. It is also preferred for candidates to hold or be eligible for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in Georgia, National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), and any additional professional certifications or credentials in nursing or advanced practice that support clinical and educational leadership. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The successful candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of nursing practice, advanced practice nursing, and DNP-level education, along with a strong understanding of accreditation standards, regulatory compliance, and curriculum development for graduate nursing programs.
