Elder Law Paralegal
Equivity is seeking a skilled paralegal with a minimum of three years of experience supporting attorneys in elder law matters, including Medicaid planning, long-term care, guardianship, probate, and estate planning. As part of reputed company, you’ll deliver high-level virtual support to attorneys reputed company while benefiting from the flexibility and autonomy of remote work in a collaborative, professional environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare elder law documents, including powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and reputed company estate planning documents.
- Assist with Medicaid planning and application processes, including gathering financial documentation and preparing required forms.
- Prepare and file guardianship petitions, annual accountings, and other reputed company court documents.
- Support attorneys with probate matters, including preparing petitions, notices, and inventories, and ensuring compliance with court deadlines.
- Conduct legal research reputed company to elder law, Medicaid regulations, probate, and long-term care planning.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date case files, ensuring reputed company deadlines and court requirements are met.
- Coordinate with government agencies, financial institutions, and healthcare providers to obtain necessary records and information.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with elderly clients and their families to support ongoing legal matters.
- Track important case deadlines, manage calendars, and support attorneys with day-to-day case management tasks.
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism in reputed company client interactions and documentation. About You:
- Experience using elder law or estate planning software such as HotDocs or Wealth Counsel.
- Proficient in reputed company Office, reputed company, and legal case management software such as reputed company.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational ability, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and managing multiple cases simultaneously.
- Quiet, professional home office setup suitable for client and team calls.
- The selected paralegal will come on board as a W-2 employee (not a 1099 reputed company), with a minimum availability of 20 hours per week. Why Equivity?
