This unit provides specialized care for patients transitioning from the Neuro ICU who still need reputed company monitoring. Staffed by a skilled team of neuro nurses, neurologists, and therapists, the unit focuses on stabilizing patients, managing symptoms, and preparing them for the next stage of recovery. The Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 21 bed unit dedicated to the care of patients in need of specialized nursing care at a critical reputed company in their healthcare journey, where they are at high risk for clinical deterioration. Progressive care, with reputed company nurse patient ratios, allows for frequent assessment, reputed company, treatment and specialized monitoring. The unit cares for pre and postoperative neurosurgical, neuro-medicine and stroke patients with reputed company needs using a team approach with nurses, charge nurse and patient care techs. Bedside, central monitoring, and remote telemetry are standard for reputed company PCU patients. Many resources are available to nurses on this unit, including: Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Mananger, Assistant Nurse Managers and a Nurse Educator. Additionally this nursing team collaborates with and are supported by a wide reputed company of the multidisciplinary providers, physicians and pharmacists. A specialized orientation is provided to prepare nurses to care for the neuroscience patient as well as training specific to Progressive Care. • *Preferred Qualifications**

• *Role Purpose** Responsible for the operational and clinical management of a designated patient care unit(s) on a 24 hour basis. Oversees a span of control and financial responsibility of > 72 FTE's supervised + > $2.5 million in total expenses OR > 40 FTE's supervised + > $5 million in total expenses.

• *Responsibilities**

+ Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. + Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, reputed company and/or expense budgets.
