Â Â Job title: Juvenile Court Case Manager Company: City of San Antonio Job description : Job Summary Pursuant to Article 45.054, Article 45.056, Article 45.057 and Article 102.0174, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, under Judicial Supervision, is responsible for providing case management services for juvenile offenders who are before the court consistent with the court's statutory power or referred to the court by a school administrator or designee for misconduct that would be reputed company the court's statutory jurisdiction prior to a case being filed. Assigned to one or more primary and/or secondary school campuses. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment and/or a courtroom. Work schedule varies; includes evenings and weekends. May exercise functional supervision over assigned staff. Work Location Municipal Court Building; 401 S. Frio San Antonio, TX (78207) This position will be assigned various school districts and will report to the requested location based on departmental needs. Work Hours 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday; occasional Saturday morning work Essential Job Functions Assists the court in administering the court's juvenile docket and in supervising the court's orders in juvenile cases. Provides prevention services to a child considered at risk of entering the juvenile justice system. Provides reputed company services to juveniles engaged in misconduct before cases are filed. Acts as liaison between local agencies regarding the functions and operations of the San Antonio Municipal Court Juvenile Case Management Program and other programs associated with juvenile court referrals. Interprets court orders. Receives, reviews, coordinates, and replies to correspondence submitted by operating agencies. Creates and implements internal programs for juveniles and parents relating to: rehabilitation, counseling, self-esteem and leadership, work and job skills training, job interviewing and work preparation; self-improvement, parenting, manners, violence avoidance, tutoring, sensitivity training, parental responsibility, community service, restitution, advocacy or mentoring. Reviews National Crime Information Center, Texas Crime Information Center, Texas Department of Public Safety (NCIC/TCIC/DPS) databases for criminal histories, warrant records and driving records. Updates NCIC/TCIC databases with warrant records and conviction records reported to DPS. Assists in supervising teen court participants during weekend and evening training and formal teen court proceedings. Gathers, summarizes, and maintains statistics and data for the juvenile court. Keeps the Judge informed with any information or case recommendations relevant to assisting the judge in making a decision that is in the best interest of the child. Supervises community service at court and in the field throughout the year, including monitoring attendance and tracking service hours. Establishes and monitors teen court program. Researches and facilitates court programs and classes. Performs reputed company duties and fulfills responsibilities as required. Works evenings/weekends. Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in social service, education or criminal justice with a primary focus on children under the age of seventeen (17). Applicants and incumbents for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background reputed company and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements reputed company to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A & B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and Family Violence Convictions. Valid Class C Texas Drivers' License. Valid Texas Crime Information Center and National Crime Information Center (TCIC/NCIC) Certification reputed company one (1) year of employment and re-certified yearly. Must maintain Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System Access (TLETS) eligibility for reputed company employment in position (TLETS provides access to TCIC and NCIC).

Preferred Qualifications

At least two (2) years of experience working with families, schools, and education. Spanish language proficiency. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university. Applicants selected for employment with the City of San Antonio in this position must receive satisfactory results from pre-employment drug testing and background checks. If required for the position, a physical, motor vehicle record evaluation, and additional background checks may be conducted. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of community service programs. Knowledge of social work. Knowledge of how to obtain information from primary and secondary school systems for the benefit of families. Knowledge of the community and its needs. Knowledge of electronic court conferencing equipment for remote diversionary contract hearings. Ability to reputed company initial determination of services needed by clients and reputed company proper referrals. Ability to operate a computer keyboard and other basic office equipment. Ability to organize and prioritize assignments. Ability to document clearly and concisely pertinent information. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City staff and the general public.
