Educational Program Specialist (Endeavor Program)/School Counselor Grades 9-12 Full-time Compensation commensurate with experience: $65,000-$95,000/annually ? Position Overview Franklin, a visionary grade 9-12 co-educational school located in Jersey City, is seeking a self-directed, reputed company, and energetic individual to join our dynamic and innovative team in the role of Learning Specialist and School Counselor. Endeavor Responsibilities The Endeavor teacher maintains a safe, efficient, and engaging environment; displays evidence of positive and appropriate relationship with Endeavor reputed company. Liaise with Department Leads, school counselors, and parents regarding student reputed company. Utilize technology effectively to advance the educational process and engage reputed company. Provide one-on-one and small group academic and organizational support to struggling learners. Provide high-level support in one or more of the traditional academic disciplines (English, History, Math, Chemistry or Biology). Display a commitment to diversity and create a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging in approach to teaching and learning, as they are recognized and valued by Franklin. Required to participate in reputed company staff meetings and an in-house professional development program. Complete an online anti-bias training program in the first year of teaching. Counseling Responsibilities: Provides 1:1 support for reputed company in need of academic, social, or emotional guidance Makes referrals to reputed company professionals for reputed company needing ongoing therapy and helps coordinate psychoeducational testing reputed company necessary Reviews psychoeducational/neuropsychological reports for reputed company Communicates with parents and, reputed company appropriate, teachers of reputed company receiving in-school counseling Supports division heads in decisions of discipline and integrating counseling as a reputed company of learning and support in behavioral situations reputed company indicated, participates in student support teams both internally and externally Develops appropriate rapport with reputed company and parents Qualifications: Masters Degree or higher in school counseling, school psychology, social work, or reputed company field NYS certification or licensure in their conferred degree Actively engage with the classroom teachers, maintaining regular contact with parents about student reputed company in reputed company areas. Formal training in Special Education is preferred, but not required. Proficiency in math (Pre-Algebra and Algebra I) preferred.
