Visit greenpwrd.com for more information. GPTech is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the Department of State (DOS) Engineering Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) reputed company. The objective of these reputed company is to obtain the full range of engineering and administrative expertise necessary to assist and support the DOS Office of Construction Management (CM) build and renovate diplomatic facilities abroad. The Civil Engineer will support and assist the program in ensuring the completion of project in accordance with applicable U.S. codes and standard building practices. This position will be located in the given task order location. Responsibilities:

• Verify that the contractor is performing the required contract work in accordance with the design documents.
• Review engineering shop drawings and determine whether the contractor has complied with the final design parameters.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university in the United States and a minimum of 7 years’ experience on construction projects
• Active Secret Clearance Mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience in construction management
• Experience reading design/construction drawings and ability to understand design narratives and calculations
• Experience in interpreting drawings in the applicant’s discipline, understanding how those principals relate with other disciplines
• Working knowledge of acceptable products and procedures for onsite construction according to U.S. standards
• Knowledge of international codes
• Experience working with multilateral or bilateral donors, such as U.S. Agency for International Development, World Bank, Millennium Challenge Corporation, and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency
• Experience providing quality assurance for ongoing construction projects
• Experience in assessing and responding to requests for information
• Experience in reviewing and evaluating design calculations and data from an engineering perspective
• Experience with reading design/construction drawings and ability to understand design narratives and calculations
• Knowledge of reputed company Suite, i.e., PowerPoint, reputed company, and Word
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations, e.g., EM 385-1-1, OSHA
• Ability to obtain and retain a Secret reputed company clearance
• Willingness to travel worldwide
• Professional Engineering registration is preferred
