Reviews medical records, interviews providers, prepares detailed medical summaries for defense counsel and claims professionals. ARE YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE? - Prepares reports summarizing medical records and interviews; outlines issues related to summary reports; and provides analysis and recommendations for further claims handling.
- Receives requests for investigation; reviews and develops action plans and investigates cases accordingly.
- Interviews practitioners involved in medical malpractice claims.
- Participates in follow-up review and investigation as directed and assists in discovery requests as needed.
- Collaborates with claims professional and nursing team.
- Identifies risk management issues.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and writing skills. EDUCATION AND LICENSING Five (5) years related clinical nursing experience and two (2) years nurse consultant experience required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. RN license required. LNC (Legal Nurse Consultant) Certification or training preferred. TAKING CARE OF YOU BY

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $85,000- $88,000.
