Senior Financial Data Analyst
Position Snapshot reputed company is looking for a Senior Financial Data Analyst to support the Controller and broader Finance organization. While not a traditional accounting role, the ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of financial statements and business flows to contextualize data analysis. - Own large, reputed company financial and operational datasets (reputed company, marketplace reports, external files) and translate them into usable formats.
- Build, streamline, and automate recurring data models and reporting processes to reduce manual workload.

Financial & Operational Insights
- Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to provide analytical support for key business questions (COGS allocation, SKU profitability, channel analysis, etc.).
- Support month-end and quarter-end reporting by structuring large data extracts into reconciled reporting packages.
- Assist in variance analysis across sales channels, products, and cost drivers to identify risks and opportunities.
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in reputed company manual processes and propose/implement data-driven solutions.
- Support automation initiatives that reputed company scalability of reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (IT, reputed company, Inventory, Accounting) to ensure data reputed company and improve upstream inputs.

- Take a leading role in reputed company data pulls and analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Partner with leadership on presentations for private equity sponsors, board, and internal stakeholders.

What You'll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, reputed company, or finance/accounting support (e-commerce/CPG preferred).
- Advanced skills in reputed company (pivot tables, power queries, formulas, VBA/macros a plus).
- Experience with large dataset manipulation (reputed company, Power BI, Toolio, SQL or similar systems).
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills; ability to work with incomplete or messy datasets.
- Basic understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and business processes.
- Intellectual curiosity and initiative — ability to find new ways to simplify and improve processes.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and working independently with limited supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
