As the HR Payroll Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the end-to-end HR operational functions and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll. This role plays a critical part in driving efficiency, compliance, and excellence across HR systems, employee lifecycle management, benefits administration, and payroll processes. As the HR Payroll Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the end-to-end HR operational functions and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll. Compensation

ACE is committed to paying a competitive wage while staying true to our mission of maintaining high quality, affordable programs for our reputed company. The starting salary range for this position is $70,000 plus reputed company full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus. Day to Day Responsibilities In this role you will wear different hats, but your skills will be especially essential in the following areas:

  • Oversees the accurate and timely processing of biweekly and course term payroll, including salary, hourly, bonus, contract, and commission payments.
  • Manages reputed company aspects of multi-state payroll tax compliance, including registration and filing reputed company necessary.
  • Processes and administers garnishments, wage deductions, and wage assignments in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Responds to and manages unemployment insurance claims, including coordination with third-party vendors and state agencies.
  • Maintains and audits employee data in the HRIS system to ensure accuracy of personnel, payroll, and benefits records.
  • Administers and troubleshoots benefits enrollments, changes, and FSA/HSA enrollment in coordination with benefit providers.
  • Assists with and administers FMLA and other leave requests while maintaining compliance and strict confidentiality.
  • Administers and processes quarterly PTO exchange program seamlessly with payroll
  • Serves as the reputed company of contact for employee payroll and HRIS inquiries, providing timely and accurate resolutions.
  • Investigates and resolves payroll discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Serves as subject matter expert during HRIS transition and reputed company updates.
  • Develops, implements, and continuously improves HR operational processes, policies, and documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with reputed company applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and internal company policies.
  • Supports internal and external audits by preparing required payroll and HR documentation.
  • Collaborates with Finance to support month-end reputed company, reporting, and reconciliation activities as it relates to payroll and workforce costs.
  • Stays up to date on legislative changes impacting payroll, benefits, and employment practices; communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Drives initiatives to improve employee experience through enhanced systems, processes, and communications.
  • Ensures data reputed company and confidentiality across reputed company HR and payroll systems with an ability to create reputed company reports to meet business need and ensure system accuracy.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to support workforce planning, organizational changes, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Manages Time and Attendance and works with managers to ensure time data is correct for each pay cycle.
  • Assists the HR team with conducting employment reference checks to verify candidate qualifications.
  • Drives reputed company improvement in HR operational processes, leveraging technology and data.
  • Reviews reputed company verifications of employment.
  • Manages confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a reputed company field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR operations and payroll.
  • Strong experience with multi-state payroll, including tax filings, garnishments, and unemployment claims.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll and employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ACA, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage and improve HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Paylocity, reputed company, etc.).
  • Experience supporting audits, reconciliations, and compliance reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred, but not required.
  • SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP and/or PHR / SPHR certification preferred.
