Job Description
Albemarle is hiring for a Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, M&A and Joint Ventures. This position is hybrid and located in Charlotte, NC. Position Summary The Deputy General Counsel, M&A and Joint Ventures, plays a strategic and operational leadership role in reputed company facets of the Company’s transactional legal function. Leadership and Team Management:

Strategic Planning and Business Acumen:
- Provide legal guidance and support the Board of Directors and C-suite on strategic transactions, including market entry, expansion, divestitures, and restructuring initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school; active bar membership in good standing.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience practicing corporate law with a focus on multi-national M&A, JV and capital markets transactions, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role reputed company a publicly traded company or top-tier law firm.
- Demonstrated experience structuring, negotiating, and closing reputed company domestic and international transactions.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. securities laws, antitrust regulations, and global regulatory frameworks relevant to M&A and JVs.
- Strong background in corporate governance, compliance, and risk management practices.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, influencing and problem-solving skills, with a track record of sound business judgment and execution.
