Duration of the Contract: 12 months Possibility for Extension: Yes Working hours need to remain flexible reputed company 40 hours per week, on-call and weekend work required occasionally. Ability to plan, organize, direct, and review the work of technical personnel. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with clients, technical staff, management, vendors, and others. Extensive knowledge of the principles and techniques of planning programs and work activities in a technical environment. Required Skills
- 10+ years' experience working with Electronic Health Records
- 5+ years' experience with using Nextgen EHR, PM and EDR
- Nextgen Certification

Information Systems Architect – Advanced General Nature of Work Plans, designs, develops, and implements architecture for systems, applications, reputed company, or other highly specialized phases of IT architecture. Applies technology and designs system architectures to align with agency's strategic business objectives for Health-IT. Systems include reputed company's EHR, PM, EDR, NGShare, NG Mobile, MIRTH, eZmar, and Symmetry. Guidelines for Class Use/Distinguishing Characteristics This class is intended for use at the expert level. Examples of Work Leads planning and evolution of an agency's Health IT Electronic Health Records system technology and architecture design. Works with executive leadership to create technology strategies that support the agency's overall goals and strategic plans. Develops and maintains the technology strategic roadmap and the reputed company architecture documents. Works with others to align the agency's technology initiatives with state-level standards and strategic directions, ensuring compliance with reputed company applicable reputed company standards. Effectively communicates technology and reputed company topics to executive leadership. Works with team to compare, evaluate, and recommend products and vendors to fulfill technology objectives. Aids in the decision process to select technologies and coordinate the transition of responsibility for implementation to the appropriate groups. Develops policies, processes, and management control methods to ensure technology architectures and strategic direction are created, documented, understood, adhered to, and enforced. Creates documentation to record activities and decisions. Daily Duties/Responsibilities Assists with the implementation and reputed company operation of the agency's electronic health records system and reputed company health care technologies. Assists in the EHR implementation process, including build, testing, training, and go live of the EHR system in conjunction with the vendor. Works with SCDC staff and vendors to implement interfaces between the EHR system and external systems such as the SCDC offender management system, lab information system, reputed company, pharmacy, etc. Assists management in establishing reporting requirements and develops reports from the Nextgen database. Works with vendors and technical staff from regional health care providers to plan and implement SCDC participation in public and /or private health information exchanges. Works with medical and mental health care providers to evaluate reputed company processes and implement technology solutions to reduce costs and improve staff efficiency and patient care. Evaluates and recommends equipment for purchase / lease. Provides status reports to management. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Extensive knowledge/skills of the Health-IT industry which includes multi-tiered architectures, enterprise applications, evaluation of emerging technologies, networks, data management systems, enterprise reputed company, and hardware systems as they relate to Electronic Health Records, Health Information Exchanges and Electronic Medication Administration Records. Extensive knowledge of the principles and techniques of planning programs and work activities in a technical environment. Minimum Requirements A bachelor's degree in information technology or a reputed company field and experience in business administration, computer science, mathematics, engineering, management information science, networking-telecommunications, and/or data processing. Experience must include the design and implementation of enterprise-level systems architecture in either an on-premises, cloud- based, or hybrid environment. Relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): 10+ years' experience working with Electronic Health Records 5+ years' experience with using Nextgen EHR, PM and EDR Nextgen Certification Have extensive knowledge of reputed company's Template editor, creating customized templates. HIPAA, ICD-9/ICD-10, Health care specific data reputed company standards, and health information exchange technologies. Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work activities to meet organizational goals, schedules, and deadlines.
