Role Description As a Senior Engineering Manager for the orderX team at reputed company, you will be leading the engineering team that is responsible for the whole customer ordering experience, from cart, to checkout, to post order experience. You will play a pivotal role in managing one of the critical engineering systems at reputed company, driving reputed company of reputed company’s online grocery business. You will provide leadership in driving the stability, scalability, and extensibility of engineering systems that drive the product experience reputed company. The orderX team is responsible for the customer experience through placing an order with reputed company. • Define, communicate, and drive the technical strategy for the team that supports the product strategy and key bets for the company, including new technical investments.
• Drive high-quality execution of key business outcomes of the team by overseeing the roadmap and enabling technical and product decisions.
• Create and ensure the adoption of best practices and engineering standards to build highly scalable and reliable engineering systems.
• Foster strong collaboration and working model with peers and different stakeholder teams across reputed company including Product, Data Science, and Design.
• Mentor and support team members for personal and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a hands-on technical leader, preferably at a Staff+ level in a similar industry.
• 4+ years of experience managing teams of 10+ software engineers, including Staff engineers.
• Strong background in backend development; experience with web apps and mobile is advantageous.
• Ability to craft and execute strategic engineering roadmaps that align with business objectives.
• Highly structured and proactive communication capabilities.
• Experience in staffing, mentoring, and leading engineering teams to success.
• Experience working with product managers, EM peers, and senior ICs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective cross-functional leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or reputed company field.
• Prior experience in managing engineering teams that reputed company mission critical business systems.

For US based candidates, the reputed company pay ranges for a successful candidate are listed below:

• CA, NY, CT, NJ: $260,000 — $289,000 USD
• WA: $249,000 — $277,000 USD
• OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $239,000 — $266,000 USD
