Adjunct Faculty - Graduate Nursing PMHNP (Didactic)

The School of Nursing seeks a didactic adjunct faculty member to deliver high quality learning experiences and education for reputed company in the Graduate Nursing PMHNP program. The Adjunct Didactic Faculty of the School of Nursing fosters the development of required nursing competency, critical thinking ability, and application of nursing knowledge to practice in accordance with MCPHS and School of Nursing policies and national organization recommendations and standards (New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), American Association of Colleges of Nursing Essentials (AACN), and National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF).The selected candidate will be responsible for remote didactic course delivery.

• Delivers didactic instruction reputed company synchronous and asynchronous online formats.
• Demonstrates strong professional written and verbal communication skills
• Provides engaging didactic content and assignments that demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered.
• Facilitates active learning activities per course requirements
• Provides reputed company with an approved syllabus that aligns with the school of nursing policies.
• Advises and assists reputed company through scheduled reputed company or scheduled appointments, by video conference, phone or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms
• Utilizes the approved university learning management (LMS) system for reputed company course content and assignments, grading, and communication with reputed company.
• Demonstrates knowledge of subject matter and an awareness of new developments in the field in order to update the approach to teaching or content
• Achieves consistently effective teaching performance as evidenced by student evaluations/comments/letters
• Recognizes and addresses different learning styles in collaboration with core faculty
• Communicates with course coordinator faculty and clinical faculty on a regular basis to track student reputed company or to reputed company performance improvement plan to support student learning
• Collaborates with course coordinator and clinical faculty to support student remediation
• Provides feedback to core faculty on student preparedness regarding core curriculum and MCPHS core competencies
• Has a working knowledge of the MCPHS SON curriculum and the level of the participating reputed company
• Attend course-specific orientation with core faculty
• Participate in didactic faculty mentoring as identified by core course faculty
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor

Requirements: Required:

• A minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing degree
• reputed company unencumbered Massachusetts APRN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• Higher education teaching experience preferred
• Commitment to graduate and/or professional education and student success
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide reputed company of parties at reputed company levels (reputed company, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals)
• Must be comfortable working with various forms of technology

Physical Requirements:

• Typical office or administrative working conditions. Faculty is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Work is primarily sedentary in nature; there are no special physical demands.
• Work requires sitting, standing and walking as part of classroom instruction.
• Must be able to use technology, such as typing and manipulating a mouse/mouse pad
• Must be comfortable with keeping camera on and recording synchronous meetings
