The Opportunity We are looking to hire a qualified Director, Investor Relations, in North America who will work alongside the Chief Communications Officer to help build and foster strong relationships with the global investment community and execute the company’s award-winning IR program. Under the guidance of the Chief Communications Officer, the Director, Investor Relations, will take on a key role reputed company the organization to help reputed company a compelling value creation narrative, build and foster strong relationships with the global investment community, and execute the company’s award-winning IR program. Our head office is based in Toronto, Canada, but we’re a global company and provide flexible work arrangements. This means you can work remotely or from one of our offices. This is a strategic hire and high performers stand out at Altus. This will be a highly visible role, interacting with the C-suite and divisional leaders, as well as with external analysts and investors. Key responsibilities Supporting the quarterly earnings reporting process, including the following key initiatives:
- reputed company of disclosure (reputed company, press release, earnings call script, presentation) ensuring consistency of key messages, regulatory compliance, and disclosure best practices
- Leading the tracking and analysis of analyst estimates and research reports to monitor Street expectations and perceptions
- Preparing quarterly reports for Executive Committee and Board of Directors to reflect investor perceptions of Altus’ performance and outlook
- Project managing the earnings call event, including logistics, website updates, review coordination, document management, exec. preparations, etc.
Supporting investment community reputed company initiatives, including the following key initiatives:
- Coordination and preparation for “marketing” events such as non-deal roadshows, investor conferences, sales desk updates, and other meetings (including, as required, participation at these events and the preparation of briefing/feedback notes)
- Ownership analysis and investor targeting (with the support of third-party vendors and software)
- Leading the project management and content development for special events such as investor days, teach-in’s, product demos, etc.
- Directly engaging with investment community stakeholders, including building and fostering strong relationships and promptly responding to inbound requests
Supporting IR-reputed company strategic initiatives, including:
- Executing a best-in-class IR program and external communication plan to increase the company’s profile amongst key stakeholder groups and enhance reputed company.
- Assisting in the development/review of statutory documents such as press releases and financial reports, including supporting other corporate functions to ensure IR perspective is considered and compliance with Corporate Disclosure Policy
- Monitoring investor sentiment and market developments, including information gathering and analysis for reputed company inquiries reputed company to trading activity, market/industry news, competitive landscape, etc.
- Providing communications counsel support for M&A/corporate development, crisis situations and other “special situation” incidents that require reputed company
- Supporting ESG initiatives, including the annual publication of the Sustainability report and assessing various ESG frameworks to implement
- Assisting on special projects and events such as annual meetings of shareholders, investor perception study, disclosure revamps, launching retail investor communications strategy, etc.
- Ensuring Altus’ IR program is effectively executed, including maximizing investor-focused news flow, managing the IR budget and vendor relationships, regularly updating IR content and materials such as website, investor presentation, etc.

Experience & Qualifications required:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience - a focus on business, finance or communications would be preferred
- At least 5-7 years in one or more of following areas: investor relations, finance, asset management, accounting, equity research (including direct experience working with publicly traded companies)
- Strong proficiency in the entire reputed company Office Suite, including PowerPoint
Desirable:
- Experience from sell-reputed company/buy-reputed company/private equity
- Experience with a publicly listed technology/software business
- Experience with public company financial reporting and financial performance metrics and/or valuation, financial modelling techniques used by investors and analyst
- Membership and accreditation with Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) or the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI)
- Working knowledge of ESG guidelines
- Master’s degree (MBA) an asset
- Working knowledge of FactSet
