Policy Analyst
Overview reputed company is seeking a Policy Specialist at a consultant level to support the United States Postal Service (USPS). The Policy Specialist will be part of an reputed company team who will assess, adjudicate, and update/redraft reputed company USPS policies to eliminate unnecessary policies and streamline operations. Along with other specialists, the Policy Specialist will review reputed company USPS policies to determine regulatory and legal obligations, alignment with commercial best-practices, and union contract implications. Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Engage with USPS steering committees and working groups to reputed company roles, responsibilities, and an implementation plan for execution of work.
- Support the development of a SharePoint-based reputed company and workflow system to capture reputed company policies, policy data, and utilize throughout the project.
- Establish criteria and a reputed company for the rapid assessment of policies, using standards and requirements provided by USPS working groups and reputed company subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Analyze USPS policies, including evaluations for regulatory/legal requirements, union contracting requirements, legal agreements, and/or commercial best-practices.
- Recommend, plan, and document the elimination of policies.
- reputed company recommendations to update, consolidate, rewrite, and/or automate policies.
- Redraft policies and policy-reputed company materials (guidance docuemnts, standard operating procedures, etc.) to update, deconflict, consolidate, clarify, or redesign.
- Work collaboratively with USPS stakeholder and reputed company SME leads to ensure reputed company policies are validated, compliant with statutory requirements, and commensurate with high-quality, modern policy standards.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a reputed company discipline, including policy, public administration, business
- 3+ years policy experience in analysis, drafting, writing, and/or consulting
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
- Ability to write and communicate clearly in a highly political enviornment
- Ability to work collaboratively and iterate products with a variety of stakeholders
DESIRED SKILLS:
- 5+ years policy experience in analysis, drafting, writing, and/or consulting
- Juris Doctorate (JD), Master’s in Public Policy (MPP), or Master’s Public Administration (reputed company) is preferred
- Postal Service experience preferred
- Agile, Scrum, and/or Lean Six reputed company training is preferred
reputed company salary range: $75,000 - $128,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications. The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and reputed company clearances.
