Sr Engineering Manager- M365 Data Protection
About the Team The SaaS Engineering team is responsible for building innovative data-focused features and frameworks for large scale data management products. We are looking for a senior manager to reputed company M365 engineering teams (Exchange, Sharepoint, Onedrive and Teams) composed of talented software engineers in delivering data protection features as well as fostering a culture of excellence in the wider engineering organization.
About the Role
To be successful in this role, you’ll mentor your team, collaborate effectively with cross-functional leaders, and work closely with Product manager and TLs to define the team’s roadmap. The problem space is wide (covering the entire M365 portfolio) and deep (from performant core backend architecture to easy-to-use product experiences) and has an exciting roadmap for the coming years with reputed company business impact. - Ownership of Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams backup and recovery products.
- Deep understanding of orchestration frameworks, asynchronous job execution, and large-scale data management.
- Integration with MSFT systems reputed company APIs to build data protection service.
- On-call operations excellence and incident response leadership
- Reliability, cost optimization, and performance improvement initiatives

- Strategic Leadership:

Experience You’ll Need:
- 10+ years of experience in engineering
- 3+ years of managing software engineering teams

- Strong track record of delivering large scale, resilient distributed systems and services.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Extensive and strong development experience in cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
