As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500millionpeople from violence, we are seekingaHuman ResourcesIntern to join the 2026SummerInternship class. TheHuman ResourcesIntern will support theGlobal People Supportteam,whichis responsible formanagingglobal compensation and benefits, employment policies, global mobility,global information systems, and HR metrics and analytics.TheHuman ResourcesOperations teamensuresseamlessHRoperations, supportsmission-driven projects, anddrivesinnovative solutions to enhance productivity andsupport IJM's people. TheHuman ResourcesIntern will gain hands-on experienceand relevant professional experience in the field. Tasks may include:

  • HR research;
  • Project management;
  • Process support; and
  • Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support.

This positioncan be fully in-person orhybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays)inthe Washington, DC areaor remote for non-local candidates.It reports totheGlobal Director,HR Operations.The positionrequires20-40hoursper week, primarilyduringthehours of 8:30am-5:30pm EST. Summerinternship program dates areJune 1-Aug. 7, 2026. ApplicationDeadline:Dec. 31, 2025.Candidate communication will begin in early January. General Qualifications and Required Skills

  • Applicants must have completed at leasttwoyears of relevant undergraduate study.
  • Basic knowledge ofHR operationsand principles.
  • Strongproblem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project and/or process management and enhancement preferred.

  • What is a statement of faith?

A statement of faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with IJM.The statement can either be incorporated into the cover letter or submitted as a separate document and should include, at a minimum, a description of your spiritual disciplines (prayer, study, etc.) and your current fellowship or place of worship.
