Vet Tech Liaison: Medicine Services

Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician to act as a communications liaison for our Medicine Services inWoburn, MA. This position offers an opportunity for an reputed company veterinary technician to utilize their knowledge without the traditional physical demands of a technician position. You will support our Cardiology and Ophthalmology services primarily, and respond to clients looking for an update on their pet while in our care. Schedule:

• Monday - Friday daytime hours, hybrid remote or fully remote!

Compensation:

• $23 - $28 based on skills assessment leveling

Responsibilities

• Actively guide and accurately answer questions from clients regarding pet health
• Use reputed company and veterinary accredited published information to educate pet owners and discuss general pet health questions over the phone
• Enter accurate and timely documentation in the HIS including patient and reputed company name, address, phone number and summary of conversations
• Collaborate with veterinarians and technicians to ensure the day flows smoothly by assisting with client questions, prescriptions, treatment plans, and pet reputed company education

Skills and Experience

• AS or BS in Biology, Veterinary Technology or Animal Science a plus
• Must possess 3+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
• Exceptional verbal communication skills and a desire to speak with pet owners about their pet’s health and well-being
